Innovation is essential to generating lasting change in natural conservation. Global awareness around themes such as climate change, the future of energy, preservation of forests, oceans and sustainable food production is at an all-time high. As reform for major systems becomes increasingly urgent, there is a growing need for all of us to engage with key sectors to identify, accelerate and scale innovative solutions that address environmental issues and also create economic opportunities for local communities.

The partnership between WWF and Impact Hub was initiated because we are aware of the power of optimizing synergies between our extensive networks, resources and expertise. No single organization is positioned to achieve the urgent changes demanded by our current circumstances by working alone. Our partnership builds on 6 years of successful collaboration in several countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Together we aim to bring innovators from a variety of sectors together to test new ground, scale what works and learn from what didn’t because we know that we cannot solve the world’s problems in isolation.

Although this collaboration is a great starting point, we hope to engage more partners over time with shared values and impact ambitions. We welcome new unlikely and likely allies to get in touch with us and discuss how we could complement each other’s skills and connect our networks. Whether you represent a multinational corporation, foundation, NGO, or a government entity, there are many different ways to add value to this partnership. You might hold the expertise needed to create valuable programs or awareness campaigns; you might have the right network to engage innovators in the partnership’s initiatives; you might be able to provide resources to enable local Impact Hubs and WWF offices to start a new program or continue an existing one, or you might be able to scale a solution to new sectors or regions.
